Reviewing with my students

Coming soon to this blog: a review of writing in a wiki, specifically the public (free) wiki option from pbworks.

I'm in the process of composing (more on this term later) two wikis:

  1. A wiki for the Writing Program of San Jose State University
  2. A wiki for Writing Partners (a community literacy service-learning pedagogy) developed by Write to Succeed, Inc., of which I am a member
The students who are in English 105 with me (see my blog roll)
are also writing reviews of writing technologies; I decided to do the assignment along with them.

  1. I've always wanted to know how to write a wiki (though my writing style is anything but the "encyclopedic style" that they want). There are a few articles I would love to try adding to Wikipedia.

  2. Hi Cathy,
I am sorry for the delay in answering to your comment on my blog. I've just seen your comment to me on March 4th. I did go to the rally on that day. My other professor required us to go. It was very good seeing a lot of students and students together.

I've heard about the AB656 and I think it is a start to funding money to education. I also like the idea of getting money from the big oil companies to fund education since it will be also helping towards the environment. I do hope that this bill passes! :)
